A couple of 8 X 1mm nuts run down on the stud and jammed together should back them out. If the nuts slip on the stud before the stud turns, apply heat to the bottom of the stud. If it isn to entirely necessary to remove the studs, then leave them in and clean up the threads with a 8 X 1mm die.
