Bill, there's no question that Chip is right as can be. Switching to a
negative ground system is just something for anal old EE-types like
myself who are too inflexible to reverse their electronic thinking.
You gain nothing but simplicity with modern test instruments. I'd
suggest looking at http://www.ttalk.info/Tech/pertronix_igniters.htm
before you install a positive ground Pertronix Igniter.
