Dave,
I worked up an excluder with the rubber bellows from an MGB brake MC
and a 35mm film cannister. It's not particularly neat and I keep hoping
to get a better one installed someday, but it does keep some road crud
from entering the box. I think it needs to be something that fits
securely to the pedal box, and that either streches or slides on the rod.
Ideas---a gear-shift lever rubber excluder? a plastic bellows from
some inflatible child toy at WalMart?
The floorboard hole rubber over the TD's master cylinder is a loose
fit in the large hole of the pedal box.
