I need to remove the shift lever from my '53 TD because the threaded
portion where the hand grip ball attaches has broken off. Can anyone tell
me the easiest way to remove the two pins holding the shifter in place?
Mine seem to be quite frozen in place and are now soaking in liquid
wrench. Also, has anyone had any luck getting new threads machined for
the shifter ball or having the lever drilled for a threaded insert?
