Phil Marino was also recommended to me at a recent CT MG Club meeting.
We were talking about machinists and things and his name came up by a member
who had his TF water pump rebuilt by him and raved about Phil and his design
of the tapered shaft water pump. I've not had this happen, but when the
bearings fail, the shaft can fly into the radiator, fan blades and all, in a
standard water pump. With the tapered shaft, it is held in the body of the
pump and cannot hit the fan.
