Way back when I was the New England MG 'T' Register's tech editor, I used
to get lots of letters (that was pre-email. WAY pre!) from new T-Type
owners disappointed in their cars' performance. After some questioning
I'd find out they were never going over 3000 RPM. My standard response
was "If you drive it like a Model A Ford, it will perform like a Model A
Ford. Let it rev!".
