Bob, the law in Calif. sez that you can drive your car exactly as it came out
of the factory.....if it had no seat belts when new (none of us have cars
like that) then you don't need seat belts now.....on the other hand, you are
nutz if you don't have a three point belt in a car you drive a lot.
This thread comes up from time to time and some folks can come up with all
kinds of reasons why seat belts are bad....especially in T cars where there
isn't much to anchor them to...well, let them do a head on like I did and
then see what they say. Any energy absorbtion by tearing out the bolts and
load spreaders is that much less your old body has to absorb. Like the man
said, install and wear your seat belts. Will I install seat belts in the SA
Tickford? Probably not, but I know the risk I am running.
