Yes the filter allows the bypass valve to function and is not blocked off.
Most spin-on filters will have an internal bypass in the filter as well.
I manufacture and sell the adapter for the late TD/TF oil oump. Cost is

I am considering installing one of the oil filter adapters to use modern
cartridge filters on my TD oil pump. Do these installations allow the built
in filter by pass valve to continue to function or is it blocked off?
