My transmission drain plug tends to leak, even when the plug is in tight. The
washer on the plug is a thin copper compression type that I bought from Moss.
(Yes, I replace the washer whenever the oil is drained.)
I would like to get some gearbox drain plug washers that seal better. I
believe that aluminum, copper or fiber would be acceptable. The plug is
1.160", so a few thou more for the washer inside diameter would be OK. The
washer outside diameter should be about 1-9/16". Thickness should be about
3/32".
Does anyone know of a source for sealing washers?
Thanks,
Ben
