It sounds like it could be a deal, but beware of the secrets contained
under the skin. Most worrisome is the announcement that the door
hinge is a little lose. This usually means that the wooden door post
has some rot, which could extend down into the main members supporting
the tub. Some aggressive probing with a screwdriver in the nether
parts seems in order. The hints of engine malfunction could end up as
a few thousand dollar project. All in all, a right hand drive 1500 TF
in excellent condition should be worth 20 K. (if indeed restored to
excellent condition, and of course if there is a buyer)
Good Luck,

I need your help out there.
...looking at ... a '55 TF [1500]...
would like ... some idea of what it is worth.

...has been in dry storage for years ...
...interior is in good original condition, ... dash,
instruments and control knobs are all in great shape...

The engine is clean and all original -- externally it is in great
shape,

... the gentleman ...before he passed away... had changed the oil
and oiled the cylinders ...

They are asking $9,500 or best offer.
Is that too high, real good or what??

Please let me know -- just email me privately so as not to clutter up
the list.
