Your "surmise" sounds logical. What does "bronze oilite bush" mean in proper
language ?
That raises an interesting question. What about oil impregnated neoprene
bushes ? Used a lot in Shock absorber mounts and things like that, in this
country. Yes, I know we are doing things upside down.
Just interested.

Hi MMM Friends,
When rebushing the carbs take care to do this with a aluminium bush and
make it
a very light push fit. Then loctite it in. Otherwise you will split the
housing.
There are of course repair kits for this but they are quite expesive for
what you actually need.
