I gave you a solution to spending all day in line and nobody likes it. Lets
just leave it the way it has been done for years and just keep bitching about
spending Speed Week in the staging lanes all day long.
That's the way it's been done, why improve on it even though it sucks to rot
all day in line, like many of us pointed out!
Times are changing. The SCTA is no longer a few good ol boys going racing.
You have more entrants, spectators and corporate support than you even
imagined when you started racing over 50 years ago. Yet you still do things
the same
way. You need to change things to go along with the flow.
What happens in years to come when we only get a run every other day and
spend two days in staging?
Same answer, "We've done it that way for years, why change it!"
Has anybody noticed when ANYBODY comes up with a new way of doing things, it
gets attacked on all fronts with a persons personal agenda. "What if I'm not
done with my maintenance when they call my class", "I don't want to get a
cell phone", "What if I can't hear the class call over the sound of my zillion
to one compression fuel motor", etc, etc.
What about putting things to a vote and let the members decide how we like
things done in stead of a few guys just saying, "We've done it that way for
years so why change it"???
