Amen! My hat's off to the CE team. Yeah, the Brits spent a bundle
and got an FIA record. Good for them. But the CE liner went almost
as fast and without nearly the hootin and hollerin that accompanied
the JCB effort.
Heaven forbid the thought, but could NASCAR-type hype be expanding on
the salt? I sure hope I'm wrong. But then the thought of 7 mile
long grandstands with executive suites, etc., etc. just doesn't fit
the my image of the LSR paradigm.
Honda and JCB this year, could the quasi-American manufacturers be
next with full factory teams? Or will it be "American" diesel
manufacturers? How about an IRL or champ car effort? It'll be
interesting to watch.
