I didn't pick up on this thread from the beginning, but I get the drift. I
agree 110% with Tom.
In the past five years or so, have learned more about Land Speed Racing and
building cars and motors from the people on this list than I learned during the
previous fifty years. I can honestly say that were it not for this list, I
would never have realized my life-long dream of racing at Bonneville. Some of
the best friends that I have came from this list. Sometimes guys get off on a
tangent on something that I don't agree with, or don't like, so I just "don't
listen". I hit the delete key just like Tom. This list is a gold mine, let's
not cave it in.

Let's not panic here....There is a lot of stuff that comes to my mail box
from this list that doesn't get read by me. If it is not of interest, the
delete key works just fine. Sometimes the short answers are annoying, but
sometimes they are amusing, it depends on my frame of mind at the time, I
suppose.
Having said that...I find the list to be most informative. Hardly a day goes
by that I do not learn something from all of you. Let's keep the network
alive. Where else can we get this connection of minds?
