Dave... having run the Supercharger with Freiburger.... I'll answer that...
Because it doesn't involve changing the exhaust, it doesn't have the heat
associated with Turbo's necessitating Intercoolers, often it's costs less,
many don't require oil lines, and lastly because it can be brutally simple.
No doubt it's harder on the crank's snout... the Belt has absolute
limitations... and can be a major pain in the butt...
Lastly because it makes this HUGE sound that is stolen with turbo's.... (
now that has some merit in racing don't it... LOL )
Both have thier place in life... obviously the Turbo's have more
potential... but Superchargers still work just fine...
