4 cars were measured in the afternoon. Besic MS, Prentice-Kelly B/BMR, So-What
liner (Irene went 96 mph, faster the Shug), Griffith Classic A Camaro. In the
morning 5 or 6 were measured. The most important one being the SoCal Machine
E/Fuel Modified Roadster of Jack Harvey. Jack has been coming to Bonneville
since 1951 and this was his FIRST time in impounds or on return runs. He set
the record in his own home built car powered by a 1952 DESOTO that's right a
254 ci DESOTO on 70% nitro. It was Dans and my great pleasure to welcome into
the 2 club. Not seeing all the numbers yet, Friberger may not have the fastest
Classic Camaro, The Griffith record was also over 240+.
.One other great accomplishment was the Moore and Stansbury Corvette setting a
record near 270.
