Paul,
I look at it like this:
4wd......50% front and rear, adjust the cp to give you a foot or so separation.
rearwd......40% front and 60% rear, and adjust the cp accordingly
frontwd...put as much weight up front as possible to aid traction....the
rest will follow along.
Skip (40% front/60% rear and about a foot separation)
