Weight distribution?

List, when planning the weight distribution in a liner what percentage
front/rear would you go for? I'm well aware of the "separating the centre off
gravity from the centre of pressure" theory, but by how much? surely there's a
more scientific approach than just separating it as much as possible, how much
weight do we need to retain in the rear for traction?
