John the side walls on the M/T's is very short... which make them exceptionally stable tires... they are the real deal with a 9" wide contact patch and approximately 10" wide. ( they price of these things isn't for the faint of heart ) Funny you should mention the Healey because that's how I got here as well... I've owned an Austin Healey 100 since 1980... and it was in Donald Healey's book that I became fasinated with Bonneville and his efforts there in the mid 50's....( 203mph in 56 with a 6 cylinder ) I'm also a California transplant... guess those of us with any brains didn't stick around to watch the big one.... ya know where the fault unlatches California and drops everything east of the fault off into the Atlantic....( it's a theory... maybe not a good one but mine all the same ) Your in good hands with the folks here.... we've got enormous amounts of talant on the list... you will enjoy it and find it a great source of information and help.
