Grib, thanks for that great link. A lot of valuable information on the
development of the roof "flaps". It gives confidence in their function when
you see the development path leading to the end result. That kerosene fired
wind tunnel sure proves the concept of racer ingenuity. :-)
I sure have trouble with the word "flaps". Since in the aero world flaps
"add lift" and drag, and spoilers take it away. -Elon

Roof Rails were added before the flaps but for the same purpose. There's
