Street roadsters probably will always benefit from added weight because of
their brick-like aerodynamics. I had to add 300 pounds to get up to 170
mph. There it started spinning and got to be a handful. Racing now at 2200
pounds and will have to add more to go faster (and more HP). Some roadster
guys have 1000 lbs of ballast and I don't know where they put it.
I did the opposite of Jack: Added weight to the rear until the front washed
out and then moved some toward the front.
