Howard, you've hit it on the head again.
That's the BEST thing about racing landspeed-- the timeslip always proves
who is the "rightest"!

Mayf,
I apologize for the abrupt response. I am more impressed by what I see work
than by ton's of theories. If you had read the whole post before you started
laughing, you would have noticed I did mention the side profile and inferred
that it was not a teardrop. I did not make it very clear.
When you start racing on the salt, you will realize how difficulty it really
is. What works on paper may not cut it in reality.
The class we ran in with the first liner I built had a class record of
145.652 which was set in 1984. By 1989 we had moved that to 256.448 (USFRA)
What other car do you know about that has moved a record that current up by
111 MPH?
To say some luck was involved shows your lack of knowledge of what it takes
to do this. Luck is the intersection of skill, preparation, and
perseverance. You make your own luck in this game. I will take your advise
and hit delete from now on. I said I was no expert and maybe I showed that.
You can argue with my approach to the task, but you cannot argue with the
performance Bryan and I demonstrated.
Howard
