Neil,
Maybe I screwed up in my amateur explanation of the issue but I have
multiple references that show different basic shapes and their cd.
The tearprop shape has the lowest drag and it is like 10x greater if you
turn it around and put the pointed end forward. Tests have even been run on
car top boat carriers that show you get better gas mileage if you put the
transom forward.
Whatever works. I will be much more silent from now on but at least I got
things stirred up.
