close, I had the 53 6 banger, pulled it, and dropped a 283 chevy with
3 dueces, put a posi rear end from a Ford into it,
changed the rounded off trunk lid with squared off one from a 56 Hawk
thought it matched the tailfins/brakelights better, otherwise
had a plain-jane looking street car. faked all the chevy guys out...
left with my cousin when I went to the army in 1964, never did find out
what happened to it..
a well made car, very pretty, at a time when everything else looked
weird..
