Because of the accident, I really hesitate to publish this essay. I did some
thinking about parachute deployment and the loads that can, and I stress
can, be generated. I don't know if it is right, but if it makes or causes
someone to think outside the box and make a better system, then maybe it
will do some good. Hit the delete key if you want to. Cuss me out if you
want to. Tell me I am full of sh*t if you want to. But look at your systems,
especially for cars going over 300 mph or so.. Think about what is happening
during deployment. Do some research. Be safe! Inspectors, take note!
