I don't think you will have a problem. I ran two very high flow Bosch pumps
mounted in the fuel cell, and had the fuel electrical shut off wired thru a
solenoid that handled the current required. This was acceptable in the Merk
for 10 years. Wanting additional protection though, I used a production
ford inertia switch to positively shut down the pumps in event of an
accident. I am using the same device on the lakester, and may even add a
rollover shutdown device as well. A positive shut off valve was not
required of me (or the car).
