have an alum. intake for a SBC with 4 IDF Webers on it. It used to work
great on one of my other race cars but now I have a problem. Put simply,
it won't seal. As soon as I install it & fire the motor, I wind up with
water in the oil - lots of it. One oddball aspect of this manifold (it's
from Fast Freddie) is that it has no water passages in the rear. In the
past, I ran a bead of silicone around the rear water passages in the
head when I installed the gasket. I have put a straight-edge on the
manifold & it appears to have no warpage. I have tried 2 different sets
of heads, alum & cast iron, and no difference. What am I missing here?
