Great weather, dry salt (didn't even get any on the fender wells of the car)
course was great for hooking up, no waiting in line ... except for the FIA
attempt when they had to clear the course for over an hour ... and lots of
run out room. They're on the long course but only using the middle miles
for most of the meet.

Don Vesco in the Turbinator and Ron Main in Flatfire are both running first
thing tomorrow morning. I'm sure there will be others.

Tom Bryant was looking for second gear, Tanis Hammond needed a new piston in
the #7 hole on #77, George Fields #125 coupe went 305.709 two way average if
my memory serves ... lighter weight driver but more lead in the car. The
Burkland's were wandering claiming that they didn't know what to do at a
race meet without a car, Tom looks great (the beard looks like it's going to
have some grey in it) and his forearm seems to be coming along fine. He was
demonstrating the range of motion. A new liner "The Kansas Twister" with a
transverse flathead and belt drive was interesting. Three multiple engined
liners there. Also three Ardun powered cars including one roadster that set
a new record 10 mph faster than the old record set in something like 1968.
Gail Tesinsky was working on her C license with a big smile on her face
after the run. Some fast bike runs. Jon Amo was out there clicking
pictures and taking notes so I'm sure he will have plenty to say about it

Other than some radio problems that got fixed they didn't seem to have any
problems with running the meet. Mike Manghelli didn't seem stressed at all
except for a truck that was left in a bad spot before they cleared the
course for FIA runs. The driver turned up to claim it and solved the
problem after fifteen minutes. Biggest on course problem was with racers
who didn't clear the course after their runs and pit crews without working
CB radios. The kind of stuff you can't control easily. They seemed to be
doing fine running the meet with a crew somewhat on the lean side.
