Amen to that, Rick. Especially now, we MUST be vigilant against the urge to
"do something." We must not give up freedoms in a vain search for security.
You are absolutely right, if we stop being free people, then the bastards
win and we still won't be secure.
How can you stop someone who is willing (even anxious) to die for their
cause? That can only be stopped at the source, not at your door step.

In times like these we have to watch out for groups that take advantage
of fears or circumstances to advance their own agendas. If we end up
cutting of
our noses in fear for our faces (I know; mixing metaphors, as bad as 'racing
saltboxes against soapboxes in your sandbox... ;-) we all lose and the
bastards
win. That's just what would happen if some congressmen get bugs up their
buts
and see this as something to make point from, and try to raise a new border
between friends and family members.
