Hate to be the bearer of sad news, but we've lost yet another giant in
Chevrolet history.
>From today's Chicago Tribune: Henry "Smokey" Yunick, aged 77, died of
leukemia -- date and location not given. Smokey was well known as being
crafty and innovative. He helped to develop the SBC and won two Daytona
500s.
Seems like we've been having too many of these "silent moments in memory"
these days. But, nobody has earned one more than Mr. Yunick.
Smokey, RIP.
