YMMV,
another thought on air mixtures. At the speed events everybody has their foot
in it hard. WOT. At that point the power valve is the device that is providing
the fuel to the engine. Dumps a lot in based on the lack of manifold vacuum.
So the draw into the power valve is proportional to the airflow into the
engine and generally seems to balance out. I think rejetting for carb then is
a matter for less than WOT.
