I'd sure be in the peanut gallery rootin for you,
Tom. I've got a 241 Dodge, a 276 Desoto and a
354 Chrysler. I want to build the Dodge just
because I want to. All through high school I
always built the "underdawg". I had a Chevy six
when the hot lick was a flathead Ford. When I
finally got to built a flathead in a forty coupe
during my senior year, I beat everything in town
except for our quarterback's 57 fuelie Chev, and
a customized 54 Dodge coupe. The Dodge coupe was
the only car in town the fuelie Chev couldn't
beat, and believe it or not, The Dodge only had a
241 in it........and a modified Latham
supercharger that had been built for a Pontiac!
I gotta build that little Dodge!
I've got the 241 sitting in a home-made cradle
stand, and it's all wired with a battery and a
fuel tank from a lawn mower. Every few days I go
out and fire it up just to hear it run! (Sick,
huh?)
