Dick,
I have three large spray guns and two touchup guns and I prefer to use my
old Devilbis JGA conventional gun for finish coats. I use the HVLP for
primers and sealers. Probably the technical reason is I'm getting old and
can't see well enough to not get runs with the HVLP. I'm sure a professional
painter would have no problems with either one, I just find it easier to get
runs with the HVLP.
