I suspect most on this list think I sit around all day
thinking of ways to be controversial.. Works for me right
now. What I do is something most here have little interest
in as it is very expensive. Will just say that I have done
design work and prototype work for a lot of cars that win in
almost any venue you might want to pick other than F1 and
Indy. Not that I can't just the plate is full right now.
Thre slides I design are not new in theory, but in practice
are quite a bit different than what most might imagine at
times. make them for a whole bunch of different engines and
venues. They are the best and the price reflects it
unfortunately. A typical setup for a yates Ford or a 18
degree chevey is about 8k so something i suspect no one here
is interested in. Lsr racing is a hobby for me although I
approach it with the same attitude I have when involved with
pro efforts. To be candid I am sure anything that has been
done once has beeen done more than once with varing degrees
of sucess, so the is very little new, just done better at
times. In LSR did design work on 2 cars to date with a free
hand as to what to do an how to do it. 2 cars 3 records all
'off the trailer'. Both guys 2 club members. But it was just
fooling around to be honest. Working on a little plan to
hit the F class records all 8 in the special construction
category. need right now to have the chassis guys work on
the 'Lakester/Streamliner' morphing kit so it can run in
both during the same event. I am doing the engine stuff
right now. Using current technology it will be 1100 hp in
F/BF 850 in F/BG 600 in F/F and 400 in F/G The car
builder wants to run the N/A stuff to start I am wanting to
right to the blown stuff and be done with it. And for all
the cost conscious out there it will be a low dollar deal
using a production based engine sort of.. Well they come in
a car you can buy in the US anyway. ran a similar engine
yesterday. made 810 at 7800 on gas and 20 lbs of boost. real
mild deal would have had another 200 if they let me turn it
up a bit and add the next 10 lbs of boost but it did what it
had to do and will run all day long.
Time for me to go make a few chips for the pro guys so i can
get some play time on my stuff.
