Rich,

I do not see the Electromotive system as a "computer controlled ignition".
Yes it has a chip to control the firing and advance curve, but it stops
there.  Computer or "processor" controlled ignitions would be able to take
an input and make adjustments based on that input, e.g. knock sensor telling
the processor the engine is detonating and the processor retarding the
timing to compensate for it.

Some of the other discussion on this new category is to limit the "muscle
cars" into that category only.  This will not allow you to "change ignitions
or install EFI" and run in the late model class.  This is to eliminate
"cherry picking" of the later model categories, due to the lack of
established records.  The muscle car class will have most all of the records
established because the majority of the cars that run and have run are in
this category.
