ignition on flathead

I know some of these questions are really simple to some of you guys, but
please put up with me for a little longer. In the vintage classes can we run a
MSD electronic ignition with rev limiter and possibly ignition retard matching
rpm. I was wondering if this violates the no computer except for data
collection purposes clause. Phil
