Need some responses on the following submission,
older chevy pickup 350 chevy. Motor was possible over-reved. After
over-reving engine, truck ran like crap.Actuall revving number is not
know. plug #2 the electrode was bent forward contacting the insulator
and porcelain was broke apart, coolant drained from cylinder. . Plug
number #3 electrode was bent forward contacting insulator. Plug #8 was
wet coolant fouled. The rest of the plugs were just basically a light
carbon fouling. Knows factors head gasket, possible head and or block
cracked.
Now you engine guru's would over revving engine cause piston to hit
plug? I haven't personally seen this. What other causes would you think
of plug being hit. There is a possibility that engine has been
overhauled before.
