DJ,
Jim Cannon ran his bike at maxton without the alternator set two records
and is #8 in points for "99". he wired a small battery to the ignition which
he kept charged, and plugged in a remote car battery just to start it prior
to leaving the line. You would have to either drive the battery down to the
line (we strapped one on a atv) or have one of your crew drive a vehicle
down and jump off the car/truck. It's not as complex as it sounds.
As long as you keep the battery fully charged, you should have no
problem with electronic ignition. we could make 5-10 passes on a fully
charged battery. Just run it as little as possible, and shut it off as soon
as possible. Anything I can do to help, call that number I gave you earlier,
I'll be home all weekend.
