The Thrust "car" and its accomplishments were very impressive! Breaking the
sound barrier is certainly an amazing feat.
 I personally prefer not to compare real cars with low-flying airplanes,
though.

sorry group, but in my opinion NOTHING beats cars like the noble / green
thrust ssc at 110 thousand horsepower w/ full afterburner - punching a
shockwave through the atmosphere. my pistons would be ashtrays if i had
that magnitude of money !!!! - doug @ black radon
