Ever hear a pair of Pratt and Whitney J-58's fire up on a shot of Tri Ethyl
Borane ? I can't say that I've ever heard a DC-3, but I think it would be
tough to beat (You've already got two Buick 455's running at WOT just to
spool up the engines).

Oh, I agree fully. Sound means a lot. I'd
rather hear a DC-3 crank up and fire any day over
an F-16! Remember what I said about the end of
the Allisons. To me, America is predicated on
flatheads, harleys, and hemis!
ahh, OK, and SB Shivvies too.
All I meant was we all share the same race course
and the same love for speed. We just all have
different ways of getting there. For some it's
the trip. For some it's the destination. But if
it's a race car, it has my attention, and if he's
a race driver, he's got my respect - no matter
what he drives.
PS: I've raced on the same tracks, in the same
races with Don Vesco on two wheels - believe me -
the man knows what pistons are for too!!!!! I
didn't even know my race bike(?) had a reverse
gear until DV passed me on the banking at
Daytona. Talk about feeling like you're going
backwards!!
