Fast Freddie is doing OK with pistons missing. The good thing about Bonneville I agree is whatever you want to do that's the place. The amount of skill and knowledge required to build a really fast 2000cc motor compared to a 8000cc motor is the same with the exception that the 8 liter guy gets to buy his manifold and blower drive. His crank and cam were likely off the shelf items. Heads were ordered from a catalogue perhaps. Maybe the whole engine came from an engine shop. Trans hookup comes out of the Summit catalog. Call Aries fro pistons, rods no prob. Try that if your Dave Dozier and your running 250 with a 39 Chrysler 8. Who do you think has achieved the greater accomplishment? Rich Fox |
