The Laurinberg police called me today and told me
they had just recovered the rear wing from my
race car. (It's a shame I didn't have it when I
raced.) They have arrested three "scum bags" in
connection with the theft. UPS should have my
wing back to me in a couple of days. It may never
see a race track, but it will sure make my
daughter happy when she "inherits" this car for
school in two years. She thought it was "the
neatest little car." Don't you just know those
teenage boys will drool when they find out "her"
car set a national speed record! Hmmm. Maybe
I'd better not offer too much encouragement for
those "teenage boys".
