I put my light on a wood panel I put in place of the speaker grille =
(along with three extra toggle switches) rather than the washer button.

Maybe of interest to some ...
I have never used the washer in my BJ8.
So, used that hole to install a 5/8 red led indicator light.
This light now indicates solid red for OD engaged, and flashing red to =
show engaged but "waiting for kick down". Off after releasing the kick =
down latch circuit.
I find it quite useful - the flashing "waiting for kick down" in =
particular is a good driving reminder.
The circuit I cobbled together uses 2 small boards sandwiched together =
and ptp wiring all in a small plastic enclosure. All wiring is done =
under the dash; fused, and fully reversible and no original wiring =
molestation.=20

Would work on all of our cars with a suitable LED location.
