Maybe of interest to some ...
I have never used the washer in my BJ8.
So, used that hole to install a 5/8 red led indicator light.
This light now indicates solid red for OD engaged, and flashing red to show
engaged but *"waiting for kick down". *Off after releasing the kick down
latch circuit.
I find it quite useful - the flashing *"waiting for kick down"* in
particular is a good driving reminder.
The circuit I cobbled together uses 2 small boards sandwiched together and
ptp wiring all in a small plastic enclosure. All wiring is done under the
dash; fused, and fully reversible and no original wiring molestation.
If of interest contact me for circuit and details.
Would work on all of our cars with a suitable LED location.
rg

P.S. Does anyone know max file size ? Tried to post a few pix but gets
rejected.
