Patrick,I also have Ray's rocker cover and I just switched over to the sil=
icone gasket and found that it seals much better and have less oil seeping=
 around the edges. I used the one for the "original" cover, because it was=
 what I had. It has a flat side and a rounded side side. I used Permatex b=
lue silicone sealant and lightly coated the flat side of the gasket and ad=
hered that to Ray's rocker cover. With the gasket in place, I set the rock=
er cover on a completely flat surface and let it sit for a couple of hours=
, letting the Permatex cure to the cover. I then placed it back on my head=
, tightened it down and didn't run the engine for a day.=C2=A0I was very p=
leased when I did run the engine as to how much better the rocker cover se=
aled to the head. With the cork gasket, I always had a little oil seepage.=
 I have also taken the rocker cover off now maybe three times to adjust my=
 valve clearances and reused the same gasket every time. I was just very c=
areful with removal, the gasket stuck to the cover and came cleanly off th=
e head. Works for me. I'm very pleased, like you, with the quality of Ray'=
s rocker cover and now I'm even more pleased with how clean my engine rema=
ins with the silicone gasket in place.=C2=A0I always keep a spare gasket a=
t hand, but so far, knock wood, I haven't needed to use the spare silicone=
 gasket.=C2=A0Steven KingsburyBN1On Oct 20, 2023, at 6:51 AM, patrick will=
