Thank you all for the replies. Rightly or wrongly, this is what =
I=E2=80=99ve opted to do:-
1. I=E2=80=99ve bought a new battery. I could test the old one blue =
until I=E2=80=99m blue in the face but it wouldn=E2=80=99t stop it from =
breaking down sooner or later. Probably the former and more probably =
when I=E2=80=99m half way down some Route Nationale in France. After =
all, it=E2=80=99s 10+ yrs old.
2. Likewise, I=E2=80=99ve ordered 3 =E2=80=9Cjet assemblies=E2=80=9D and =
their accompanying springs. Mine are over years old, predate Burlen =
going Ecoproof and =E2=80=93 once I=E2=80=99ve got them out for =
inspection =E2=80=93 why would I put them back in only to start the =
countdown to their demise again? I am not buying them from Burlen as =
they=E2=80=99ll be part of a slightly bigger order, but I=E2=80=99m =
assured that they are definitely pukka Burlen parts!
