I did not want to bring this up as I do not like to bash our suppliers but
I wrote to Moss about their spin-on adapter when in about 2010 the one I
installed on my Elva Courier's MGA engine failed, allowing the entire
filter to come apart and the oil blow all over. Luckily it happened when I
was working on the engine and I was able to shut down immediately.  Moss
said thank you and sent me a replacement which never failed--perhaps it was
a bad casting or whatever.
