Gary,
Never heard he did not like Pertronix, as far as I am concerned if you have=
a good rebuilt distributor, I would prefer points as I can fix them on the=
road if needed and they are far more economical. A Pertronix will, for a w=
hile, hide the proper functioning of a worn distributor. Our cars, due to t=
heir age, the technology of the day, means that they need far more frequent=
servicing and the distributor is one of those items, while strong, eventua=
lly will need a rebuilt. It is a great thing that we have guys like Jeff th=
at specialize in this type of service so we can put some more miles on our =
cars for years to come.

am not sure why he dislikes them. For me the advantages out way the origin=
ality of a points system. I do like the way he rebuilds the OE distributor=
