Roger

As you have said that you have changed both universals, is there chance
that you have reassembled the shaft out of phase? This is easily fitted
wrongly. Both universals have to be exactly in line and you should be able
to see small pointers engraved on each side of the sliding sections that
have to line up so that splines are correctly aligned.
