I do much the same as Mike, but get sacrificial socket that just fits =
into the yoke and which will bear on the circlip, and give it a sharp =
whack with a hammer. I nicely loosens the circlip and makes them easier =
to extract.

One trick that makes the UJ circlips easy to remove is to use a large =
flat end punch to drive each cup inward before starting.=20

They usually come easily after that.

arrows were almost 180=C2=B0 out of alignment. God knows why. I took it =
off years ago but didn=E2=80=99t disassemble it that time. I=E2=80=99ve =
lined up the arrows and will see what goes on when the car=E2=80=99s =
back on the road.=20
